One who walked the logs before me left a sign…

Spiral to center

One who walked the logs
before me
left a sign
saying
move inward
inward
and in
deeper
still
within
then
outward
again.

High tide calmP.S. I marvel that today’s high tide is so calm and wonder at the metaphor.

P.P.S.  This one who walks on logs throws logs for labradors who love them:

Some days you need to summon your inner survivor.

Stormy ferry survivorThe ferry was facing stormy seas.
Manikin overboard! Nobody heard.
Good thing we float…

Daunting stormy wavesSwam the daunting stormy sea to shore.

Splashing slippery soapsudsy wavesOver slippery soapy stones.

Stormy survivor struts on shoreStrong survivor closeup.

Storm survivor is safe on shoreSafe!

Some days just feel like that.

Hoisting our own sunshine on a non-sun Sunday in Seattle

hoisting-sun-hz

Some days in Seattle, especially Sundays,
it’s necessary to make your own.
Sun, that is.

We have these Pantone color-matching cards that make the perfect,
and we mean perfect, sunshine colors.
Mimosa makes sense for PMS 14-0848,
like Sunday brunch at the beach.

The mechanics are a bit like flying a kite,
string required, of course.
A bit of wind helps, but not too much.

hoisting-sun-mimosaYou wait for just the right breeze, the right lift,
and you hoist your sunshine into the sky.
And bask in the glow.
Good for the soul.
SPF 2 is plenty.
